- There is a different procedure for Google Chrome Remote Assistance.
Installing Remote Assistance:
- Sign in to Google Chrome.
- Locate the Remote Desktop in the Chrome Web store. Click the free button to add Remote Desktop to your computer.
- Confirm the Chrome Remote Desktop download and allows it access to your computer.
- Find Chrome Remote Desktop in the chrome App Launcher, click the icon to open the app in chrome.
- It is an extension for Google Chrome Browser.
- Click Get started and Remote Assistance.
- To make your computer available to another user, click share, if your going to control a shared computer click Access.
- Chrome Remote Desktop will display an Access code to the sharing computer. Enter the Access code on the computer that will control the sharing computer.
- Chrome will display notification to the sharing computer, click stop sharing to end the session if not.
- The shared computer desktop will appear in the accessing computer browser tab.
- Click Disconnect to end the session. The user on the other end will receive a notification that the computers have been disconnected.
