Change a power plug

  • There are two types of plugs with ground and without ground.
  • In grounded one there are three wires (Phase, neutral and ground). In plug without ground only two plugs (Phase and neutral).
  • Again the plugs are two types with fuse and without fuse.
  • In the fused one phase wire is connected to fuse.
  • To change a power plug take a tester and remove screws over the power plug.
  • You see the wires like red, black and green which screwed to pins. Remove the screws.
  • Take the same type of plug as the older one ( 3-pin or 2-pin).
  • Cut the damaged portion of the wires with cutting plier.
  • Remove the insulation of the wires of about 0.25 inch.
  • Place the wires in the plug as it is in the pins top one ground (green), right one is phase (red) and left one is neutral (black).
  • Now tight the screws of the wires with pins and also the screws of plug with tester.
  • Now the new plug is ready for the functioning.
