Barcode Symbology

Barcode:

  • A barcode is a machine level printing of data. That data shows the details of the object printed on it.
  • Barcodes are the one-dimensional (1D) or linear representation of data. 
  • Barcodes are used in the automate supermarkets billing systems.
  • They became famous commercially because they are referred as Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC).
  • Barcodes are the lines of some specific width and specific spaces between them to represent the data.
  • There are many types of barcodes some of them are:
  • Code 11, Code 25, Code 39, Code 49, Code 93 and Code 128.
