Basics of word

Microsoft word:

  • It is used to create documents in a professional manner.
  • It is easy to create and edit documents in word.
  • There are basic steps in word to know every user while creating a document in word.
  1. Creating a new document in word. Open the word, click the file option at the top left corner of the window and select new and blank document.
  2. After writing the document save it which is present on the same file option at the top left corner.
  3. To change format of the document select the text and right click on the text then we get some options to change the format of text.
  4. We can insert items like images, tables , charts, etc., in insert option at the top.
  5. We can also add headers and footers to the document by clicking header and footer in insert.
  6. We have page layouts to select the page margins and sizes etc.,
